Developing A Better Way to Access Pediatric Care Guidelines
September 12, 2023
The Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation is a well-known institute in the province, raising funds to provide life-saving care and breakthrough research. The hospital needed a smarter/better/more streamlined way to deliver clinical care guidelines to pediatric teams across Alberta. Their vision was to develop this centralized, easy-to-use platform where clinicians could quickly find up-to-date protocols without digging through emails, PDFs, or clunky folders.
So we built one.
Working closely with stakeholders, we mapped out user flows and built a clean WordPress site focused on one thing: helping busy clinicians find the right document, fast. We added keyword search, smart filters, and structured navigation to make it easy to browse by category, topic, or need.
On the backend, we kept things simple. The Children’s Hospital team would be able to update this repository on their own, essentially upload, tag, and manage content without relying on developers. Our team wanted this to be intuitive and scalable (basically built to evolve with their growing library of documents).
We’re very proud of our work with the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. Want to see the website? Check it out here or read the full case study here.
