The Problem
Rentcharlie wanted to promote a sharing economy, helping people make money and save money by renting stuff they already have. For those renting items, Rentcharlie provides the opportunity to tackle a project or try a new hobby, without the constant need to buy more things. Trailers, power tools, sports equipment, camping supplies–possibilities abound for renting rather than buying.
The Solution
Cornerstone worked with Rentcharlie to design a rental platform which is fast, smart and local, allowing renters to find whatever they need within close proximity, with the goal of connecting neighbours first. We guided Rencharlie through the UX design of the site’s workflows and key features, then custom built the site in Ruby on Rails.
Key Results
The finished product, a fully custom built sharing/rental website, reached over 4000 items listed in just the first six months after launch.
